A man, Salihu Nuhu, has pleaded guilty to assaulting a married woman, Hassan Uba, following a disagreement over N10 change in Kura Local Government Area of Kano State.
The incident reportedly occurred when Salihu bought a funkaso (local snack) worth N90 and paid with N100, but a disagreement arose over his N10 balance.
Salihi was accused of entering the woman’s house and beating her following the disagreement.
Hassana told the court that the assault left her hospitalised, where she received medical attention, including intravenous fluids.
She also alleged that her phone and some money went missing when people gathered to assist her.
At the hearing before Magistrate Court No. 44 in Kura, Salihu pleaded guilty to the charge after it was read to him by prosecutor Inspector Nasiru Dange.
Presiding judge Muhammad Alhaji Isah adjourned the case until November 19, 2026, for judgment.
