I was worried about being the oldest mommy in school - Toke Makinwa shares her initial apprehension on embracing motherhood at 40

Media personality Toke Makinwa, has revealed that she was initially apprehensive about being the mom who is likely older than all her daughter’s schoolmates’ parents. 

 

Makinwa gave birth to her daughter in August 2025, months after her 40th birthday. 

 

The mother of one disclosed this in her congratulatory message to Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and his wife, Cynthia, on the birth of their third child.

 

“Funny how having a baby at 40, I was worried about being the oldest mommy in school,” she wrote on her Instagram story on Sunday, June 28.

 

“I was worried about all my friends’ kids all grown but look at God. So many babies born this season. New mom friends and endless community,” she added.
