Jeffrey Epstein’s brother has slammed us federal officials for ruling his brother’s jail death a suicide, saying he “laughed at how stupid it was.”
“Every time they say something or do something to try to quash the fact that he was most likely murdered, they just put their foot further down their mouths,” Mark Epstein told NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo.
He criticized FBI Director Kash Patel for declaring, “You know a suicide when you see it,” pointing out Patel “listed his credentials as a prosecutor” but isn’t a forensic pathologist. “Does he even have a Boy Scout merit badge for first aid?” Mark asked.

Mark also noted that two medical examiners who performed autopsies on his brother — Dr. Kristin Roman and Dr. Michael Baden — could not give firm conclusions, suggesting the case pointed more to homicide than suicide.
“Was Kash Patel in that autopsy room? No. Was he in the prison when they found Jeffrey? No — and if he was there, that raises an even bigger question,” Mark said. “When Kash Patel came out with that statement, I laughed at how stupid it was.”
The Department of Justice stated in a memo this week that there was no evidence Jeffrey Epstein was killed by someone else while in custody.
Patel has echoed this conclusion for weeks, including during testimony before a Senate committee in May. The investigation also found no evidence Epstein maintained a “client list,” despite earlier claims by Attorney General Pam Bondi that she had such a list on her desk.
