The remains of former Governor of Kogi State, Ibrahim Idris, have been laid to rest at the Gudu Cemetery in Apo, Abuja.
His remains arrived in the Federal Capital Territory from the United Kingdom, where he d!ed on Sunday at the age of 77.
The funeral was attended by Kogi state governor, Usman Ododo, former governors Yahaya Bello and Idris Wada, family members, government officials, political associates and other dignitaries gathered in Abuja to pay their final respects.
Idris was elected governor of Kogi State in 2003 on the platform of the PDP and returned to office after a fresh election in 2008, serving until January 2012.
