The police in the Federal Capital Territory have arrested a man identified as Agbogun Bernard riding a vehicle with a suspected fake Presidency number plate.
On October 26, men of the police command intercepted and recovered a black Toyota Corolla vehicle driven by Benard bearing Presidency registration number M01-997 FG to the FCT Police Command Headquarters for discreet investigation.
During preliminary investigation, the driver of the vehicle could not give satisfactory explanation as to the source of the registration number.
The command says investigation is ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding its allocation, ownership and use, as well as the authenticity of the registration particulars.
The Command urged residents to remain law-abiding and promptly report suspicious persons or activities to the nearest Police Station or through the Command’s emergency numbers: 08032003913, 08061581938.
