Court remands Nasarawa APC chieftain for allegedly threatening to k!ll police officers

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Mallam Dadda’u Mamuda, has been remanded in the custody of the Nigeria Correctional Service over an alleged d3ath threat to police officers.

 

Mamuda was remanded in prison custody by the Federal High Court sitting in Lafia following his arraignment by the police on a two-count charge on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.

 

The court, presided over by Justice M.O. Olajuwon, adjourned the matter to Wednesday, June 10, 2026, for a hearing on his bail application.

 

He had recently threatened to k!ll any police officer involved in the arrest of supporters of his preferred gubernatorial aspirant and former Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, over any political dispute.

 

The APC stakeholder issued the threat recently during a political gathering in Lafia.
