Cecily Aguilar Pleads Guilty For Soldier Vanessa Guillen Death: The woman accused of assisting Army Specialist Aaron Robinson in disposing of Fort Hood soldier Vanessa Guillen’s body entered a plea of guilty on Tuesday to three counts of creating a false statement and accessory after the fact, averting a trial that was scheduled to start in January.

As previously reported by CrimeOnline, Aguilar was charged with 11 charges for her assistance in the dismemberment and burial of Guillen’s body after Robinson had killed her with a hammer in April 2020. Aguilar, who was wed to another soldier, was having an affair with Robinson.

Investigators think Robinson killed fellow specialist Guillen because she saw a photo of Aguilar on his phone’s lock screen and feared she would denounce him for breaking the army’s fraternization laws after discovering the photo.

Robinson murdered Guillen, placed her body in a Pelican case, and then got in touch with Aguilar to ask for assistance. On June 30, 2020, workers on a fence row discovered the body. The following day, Aguilar was taken into custody, but as the police were closing in on Robinson, he shot and killed himself.

“We truly believed she would continue to fight back… We now have to wait for the actual punishment, but there are still a lot of conflicting feelings, including rage and frustration, said Guillen’s sister Mayra, who was present in the federal courthouse with her parents, according to KHOU. There is no defined time for the sentence.

The guilty plea is “another step on the long route toward justice for Vanessa, my client, and her valiant family,” according to the family’s attorney for Guillen.

Natalie Khawam told KWTX, “I will never stop fighting for my clients and will continue to demand justice for victims and their families until it is achieved.
