Suspected thugs on Wednesday, October 28, attacked APC members holding a campaign rally in Malumfashi Local Government Area of Katsina State, leaving several people with minor injuries and damaging vehicles.
Party members had gathered to campaign for their candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Things, however, took a different turn when hoodlums chanting “Ba mu yi,” a Hausa expression meaning “We do not agree,” stormed the venue, and attacked them with stones and other dangerous objects. The thugs shattered windscreens and windows, causing panic among motorists and passengers.
It is unclear how many people suffered injuries during the attack.
The state police command is yet to react to the incident.
