Katie Price’s husband Lee Andrews, who was recently reported missing in Dubai, has reportedly been arrested and is being held in prison in the United Arab Emirates.
The development comes days after a missing person report was officially filed following concerns over Andrews’ unexplained disappearance. According to reports, Andrews was arrested by authorities in Dubai, although the exact charges against him have not been publicly confirmed.
His father, Peter Andrews, insisted that his son had not been abducted and said he was safe. “He has not been kidnapped but he is under arrest. I don’t know on what charge,” Peter told the Daily Mail. “I’m not sure where he is being held. But he will call me later today. He is not at my house.”
A police source also reportedly confirmed to the publication: “Lee Andrews has been arrested.” Price and Andrews married earlier this year in January, only days after reportedly meeting.
Before the latest development, Andrews had already faced several controversies surrounding his business dealings and personal life. He had previously presented himself online as the chief executive of a company called Aura Group Future Urban Travel 2027 and claimed involvement with “SpaceX Hybrid Fitness.”
However, reports later questioned the legitimacy of those claims, alleging that some images appearing to show Andrews with high-profile celebrities had been generated using artificial intelligence. Andrews was also reportedly previously restricted from leaving Dubai because of an ongoing legal matter linked to alleged fraud involving a mortgage reportedly taken out in an ex-partner’s name without her knowledge.
According to reports, UAE authorities prohibit individuals facing criminal investigations from leaving the country. Although Andrews denied there was any issue preventing his travel, Price later confirmed he had been subjected to a travel ban without publicly explaining the reason.
The businessman also faced accusations from former partners, with one ex-girlfriend reportedly describing him online as a “liar, narcissist and manipulator.” Another former partner allegedly referred to him as the “Tinder Swindler” and claimed several women had contacted her accusing him of attempting to scam them financially.
Earlier this week, Price publicly expressed fears that Andrews may have been kidnapped after losing contact with him. In a YouTube video, she revealed the last messages she received from him before his disappearance.
“Lee has been missing for three days. The last time I heard from Lee was Wednesday night at 10 o’clock,” Price said. “He was trying to go through the border in Dubai to get on a flight to me… and this is so, so discombobulating… His location went off at 10:03 Wednesday night; that’s the last contact anyone’s had, his family and myself.”
The former glamour model later said authorities including British police, the British consulate, the Foreign Office and Interpol had become involved in efforts to locate him. “There is absolutely nothing more I can do, nothing more I can say and now the police are dealing with it, I’m just leaving it to the police,” she said during a podcast appearance. Reports now suggest Andrews’ disappearance may have been linked to his arrest and detention in Dubai rather than an abduction.
