A third suspect is still at large, according to Brown. Brendan Deenihan, chief of detectives for the Chicago Police Department, claims that the arrests were made as a result of information from an unidentified witness.

Deenihan asserted that one of the suspects had admitted guilt, but she did not say which one.

It wasn’t known if Parish or Ali had a lawyer who could speak on their behalf. Both men were scheduled to appear in bail court on Tuesday.

Local activist Andrew Holmes claims that the girl was shot while out with her family on her 12th birthday.

The Fatal Shooting Of 12-Year-Old Nyzireya Moore

On March 2 at around 8 o’clock in the South District’s 2300 block of West 72nd Street, Nyzireya Moore, 12, was reportedly seated in her family’s Buick SUV.

A stray bullet injured Nizreya in the head. Despite being transported right away to Comer Children’s Hospital, she died three days later.

Due to this, two male Chicago residents were accused on Tuesday of killing a 12-year-old girl on the South Side as she was returning home from a family birthday party.

The prosecution claims that before shooting Nizreya, the three gunmen could be seen on surveillance tape leaving their residence at 2300 West 72nd Street, turning around, and observing a member of a separate gang drive by in a Mercedes.

The group fired on the northbound car after waiting for around two minutes. Nizreya’s mother was driving when the tragedy happened.

About a block away from her home, she heard gunshots and glass breaking before realizing that her daughter had been hurt.

Investigators allegedly discovered 25 round casings from three different firearms, including a 9mm handgun and two.40-caliber pistols.

The shooter, who shared hooded sweatshirts with two witnesses, was unrecognizable to them both.

Reports state that the Police initially made the CCTV video of the incident public and offered a $15,000 reward for its capture.

However, it was apparently only after nearly eight months had passed since the crime that the Police were able to crack the case thanks to anonymous tips.

Detective Inspector Brendan Deenihan described an anonymous witness as a “pivotal point” in the inquiry that helped the case come together during a press conference.
