56-year-old man caught dumping refuse in drainage in Lagos

The Lagos State Environment Taskforce has arrested 56-year-old John Ehidreme, for illegally dumping refuse into a drainage channel at No. 18 Oluoga, Ikorodu.

The state Commissioner for Environment, Tokunbo Wahab, disclosed this on social media this evening.

He stated that indiscriminate waste disposal is a violation of environmental laws, as it obstructs drainage channels, contributes to flooding, and poses significant public health and environmental risks.

He urged residents of the state to dispose waste responsibly and use only approved waste management facilities.
