In Florida, a man 23-Year-old Carlos Lemont Jones Kills Ex-Girlfriend and was accused of shooting his ex-girlfriend 15 times after she refused to answer his texts or calls.
According to WOFL, 23-year-old Carlos Lemont Jones was detained this week for the murder of Sha’Dayla Johnson in Melbourne on Tuesday morning.
According to the arrest document, Johnson was shot in the back by Jones as she was heading to work. Torrance Clark, her father, told investigators that he heard shots and saw Jones, but that by the time he went outside and discovered his daughter dead, Jones had already left.
Jones had been “constantly contacting and bothering Sha’Dayla in efforts to get back with her,” according to Torrance.
Jones is said to have surrendered when his mother convinced him to do so. He allegedly confessed to the crime, telling detectives that he bought the rifle he used to kill Johnson, particularly for that purpose.
When detectives questioned him about his guilt, he reportedly denied feeling any regret and added that if he could go back in time, he would have murdered both Johnson and her father.
