Newsypeople- Ed Sheeran is commemorating the 10th anniversary of his sophomore album, ‘X,’ with a series of special events and releases. The British singer-songwriter will release a special, expanded 10th anniversary edition of ‘X’ on June 21, featuring the original tracklist along with nine bonus songs, including “I See Fire” and “All Of The Stars,” from the soundtracks of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and The Fault In Our Stars, respectively.
This album, originally released in 2014, includes hit singles such as “Don’t,” “Sing,” “Photograph,” and the multiple Grammy Award-winning “Thinking Out Loud.”
To celebrate this milestone, Sheeran has announced a one-off show at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, on May 22, where he will perform a special set reflecting his ‘x (Wembley Edition)’ release from 2015. Fans interested in attending must register before 11:59pm ET on May 2 to have a chance of being selected for the opportunity to purchase tickets. Selected fans will then be able to purchase tickets at 10am ET on May 6.
Before the Brooklyn show, Sheeran will play Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida, on May 3, headline Boston Calling in Massachusetts on May 24, and BottleRock Napa Valley on May 26. He will also top the bill at Lucca Summer Festival in Italy and Rock In Rio Lisboa in Lisbon as part of a run of summer European dates.
The 10th anniversary edition of ‘X’ will be available on multiple formats, including a new, more ecologically sustainable LP format called EcoRecord vinyl. The bonus tracks included in the anniversary edition will be making their debuts on vinyl, offering fans a unique way to commemorate the album’s decade-long impact.
Sheeran’s latest album, ‘Autumn Variations,’ produced by Aaron Dessner, was released in September 2023, showcasing his continued musical evolution and dedication to his craft.
