Nollywood actress Destiny Etiko has revealed that she lost ₦5 million after placing her first-ever football bet.
Sharing the experience on her Instagram page, the actress said the loss had convinced her never to bet again.
According to Destiny, the experience was emotionally draining, adding that the anxiety she felt during the wager was overwhelming.
She also joked that she was done watching football following the loss.
The actress wrote that it was her first time betting, that she lost ₦5 million, and that she has no intention of trying it again.

Will never try it again.
My 5M gone.
In fact, I’m done watching football.
Anxiety almost killed me”.
2026 World Cup Final
Recall that Spain were crowned champions of the 2026 FIFA World Cup after defeating defending champions Argentina 1–0 after extra time in a tense final at the New York New Jersey Stadium.
