

Nollywood actress Olamide Odunlade has expressed deep gratitude to God after narrowly escaping a fatal accident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway involving a petrol tanker that went up in flames on Wednesday.
The incident occurred near the Deeper Life Bible Church and directly in front of the NASFAT camp along the busy expressway.
According to eyewitness accounts, the tanker, fully loaded with fuel, fell while in motion and burst into flames moments later, sending thick black smoke billowing into the sky and triggering panic among motorists and nearby residents.
The explosion caused significant disruption to traffic, leading to a gridlock that stretched as far back as the Berger axis. In an attempt to escape the chaotic scene, many drivers resorted to driving against the flow of traffic, further compounding the situation.
Among those caught in the terrifying ordeal was actress Olamide Odunlade, who took to her Instagram page shortly after the incident to share a video capturing her frantic escape. In the footage, she is seen running away from the blaze, visibly shaken.
Fighting back tears in an emotional video, she said:
“God thank you; what would I have said. Everybody run!”
Fans and fellow actors flooded her comment section with prayers and words of comfort, thanking God for her safety and calling for improved safety measures on Nigerian roads.
