A Nigerian lady has stirred emotions online after sharing a heartbreaking chat about Nollywood actor, Alexx Ekubo.
This comes after reports emerged online claiming the actor had passed away from cancer.

The screenshot posted on the lady’s X account, @Ayomide_koya, claimed he had passed away from cancer.
According to her, she came across the chat which stated that the actor died of kidney cancer.
In her now-viral tweet, the woman sought God’s intervention and hoped the swirling rumors would be debunked.
“Damnn saw this chat that said Alex Ekubo had cancer. I’m waiting for this to be debunked ooo, God abeg” The tweet reads.
Stanley Ontop Breaks Silence
In a recent development, Stanley Ontop has broken his silence on Alex Ekubo’s passing, providing details about his illness.
In an Instagram post, the veteran producer disclosed that the actor was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in 2024.
However, after undergoing treatment and a transplant, he returned to work.
Eventually, complications arose and his condition deteriorated, leading to his death.
Meanwhile, the actor passed away on Monday, 12 May 2026, at a Lagos-based hospital, and his body was taken to a morgue.
Additionally, fans and industry colleagues have taken to social media to mourn his passing.
