Content creator Ashmusy has responded to reality TV star Phyna after she accused her of trying to have her dropped from an upcoming boxing match.
In a statement shared online, Ashmusy explained that she had initially been unsure about participating in the fight and had been contemplating the decision since Phyna approached her.
She denied asking the organisers to drop Phyna or working against her, clarifying that she only expressed a preference to fight someone else if she eventually decided to participate.
“Phyna I never asked anyone to drop you, neither did I advocate for your downfall in any way. You approached me and I sincerely wasn’t sure, I’ve been contemplating since then till date hence my delayed conclusion,” she wrote.
Ashmusy explained that her preference was not motivated by spite, stating that she was uncomfortable fighting Phyna because they were on good terms. According to her, she asked the organisers whether she could choose another opponent and was given permission to find another match.
She added that she was still undecided about participating while also dealing with her trip at the time.
Addressing Phyna’s concerns, Ashmusy said she understood her perspective but insisted that asking for another opponent was not intended to undermine her.
She further revealed that she has now completely withdrawn from the boxing match and has no interest in continuing with the situation.
“As of now, I am completely uninterested in the match and I have opted out completely. I wish you the very best in everything and do not intend to fight or banter regarding this or anything else,” she added.
Ashmusy also explained that she chose to address the issue because remaining silent in the past had allowed different narratives to spread about her.
