Nigerian Afropop star Adekunle Gold has revealed that his wife, Simi, and their daughter, Adejare, remain the most important part of his life.
Speaking during an interview on the NotJustOk Podcast, the singer shared that his biggest motivation is his family, describing them as his “centre” and ultimate source of strength.

My family is my centre
The award-winning artiste explained that his greatest goal is to provide a better life for his daughter than the one he experienced growing up.
According to him, fatherhood has reshaped his priorities and pushed him to work harder, both personally and professionally.
Adekunle Gold also disclosed that his song, “My Love Is The Same,” was inspired by his deep commitment to family and the desire to remain a loving, present father despite his demanding career.
The track, he noted, serves as a personal reminder of the values he holds dear and the promises he has made to his loved ones.
I can afford to be a failed musician, not a failed father
The “Ogaranya” crooner emphasized that while fame and success are important, being a responsible man and father takes precedence over everything else. “My family is my centre. I can afford to be a failed musician, not a failed father or man. That’s not negotiable,” he declared.
Adekunle Gold, who has been married to fellow singer Simi since 2019, continues to be celebrated not only for his music but also for his authenticity and devotion to family.
