Nollywood actress, Anita Joseph has called out married men over their refusal to wear wedding rings, and she isn’t holding back.
In a viral Instagram post, the newly divorced actress asked why so many men aren’t fond of wearing their wedding rings. She even promised to bombard them with quotes throughout the year.
“But men, why una no Dey wear una wedding band? This year una go hear quotes tire oh.
“Your wedding band is a kind of assurance to your wife. In as much as it’s just a ring, it’s a promise to your wife that you’re still here and still got her,” she said.
It will be recalled that last year was undoubtedly bittersweet for Anita, who ended her five-year marriage to MC Fish.
In December, she confirmed that her marriage had ended, reflecting on how life tests our strength in ways we never expect, especially in marriage.
The actress revealed that she has been walking through a season of deep reflection, pain, and healing, and has chosen to embrace grace, growth, and faith.
Following her divorce, Anita made it clear that she is single and not looking for a partner, even though she has been bombarded with calls from men.
She also emphasized that eight years and 11 days with her husband isn’t the same as eight months, and said she needs her head cleared before anything else.
