A 36-year-old Catlin Boswell Stabs Father fatally murdered him on Sunday while critically injuring his mother.
Before deputies arrived at the Forsyth County residence, Catlin Boswell apparently ran away. However, detectives followed him to Whitfield County, which is located just beyond the Tennessee state border, and there Dalton police officers and county deputies arrested him.
Boswell is accused of killing John Boswell, 65, who was found dead at the scene and seriously injuring his mother, who is still in the hospital, according to WXIA.
Such violent crimes still startle people in Forsyth. It’s unfathomable that a son would try to kill his mother and then take the life of his own father, Forsyth Sheriff Ron Freeman said in a statement. “Our Uniform Patrol Division did outstanding work, and our Major Crimes and Crime Scene units did a fantastic job, which allowed us to apprehend this offender in less than two hours. We might be dealing with another victim lost and a culprit still on the run if not for the quick and efficient work of our 911 center coworkers and the Forsyth Fire and EMS.
The Forsyth County Jail is holding Boswell without bail.
