Know about ‘Missing 4-year-old Oklahoma girl Caretaker Alysia Adams Arrested’ The caregiver of a 4-year-old Oklahoma girl who has been missing since her older sister was discovered wandering alone on Tuesday has been arrested on child neglect charges.
According to KOCO, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation arrested Alysia Adams on two counts of child neglect in connection with the treatment of missing Athena Brownfield and her 5-year-old sister.
According to OSBI public relations officer Brook Arbeitman, the two children were in the care of Adams and her husband, but it’s unclear why only Adams has been prosecuted.
As originally reported by CrimeOnline, a letter carrier discovered the 5-year-old roaming outside the Adams home in Cyril on Tuesday and called authorities. Several agencies responded and a search was initiated.
Adams has reportedly been checked into the Caddo County Detention Center, according to the KOCO.
As they look for information about the disappearance, investigators have delayed trash collection in Cyril and are looking for surveillance footage from several locations in the city.
