Popular music executive Ubi Franklin has reflected on what he describes as one of his biggest regrets, advising young men against having children with multiple women.
Speaking from personal experience in a video shared on his Instagram page, Ubi said that while financial responsibility is important, the real challenge lies in managing the emotions and relationships between different mothers of one’s children.
“One of the worst decisions you can ever make is to have kids with different women. No matter the money you think you have, that should never be a decision you make in your life,” he said.
The father of several children admitted that raising children is not always the hardest part, explaining that dealing with baby mama drama and maintaining peace among the adults involved can become overwhelming.
He urged men to think carefully before making such decisions, warning that while some people may cope with the situation, others may struggle with the emotional pressure.
“Taking care of them is not the problem, but managing the emotions of the adults who are their mothers. Let baby mama drama not be part of your life,” he added.
Ubi Franklin also acknowledged that although children are among life’s greatest blessings, he wishes he had made different choices regarding that aspect of his life.
He advised young men to, as much as possible, build a family with one partner and avoid situations that could create unnecessary complications.
