A massive amount of Real Madrid fans have signed an online petition demanding Kylian Mbappé be sold, citing frustration over his attitude and commitment to the club.
The backlash intensified after Mbappé was seen on a trip to Sardinia with his girlfriend during his recovery period instead of supporting his club.
During the 2-0 defeat to Barcelona, he posted a photo of the scoreline on social media, which many supporters interpreted as sarcastic.

Former Montpellier, Portsmouth and Nigeria forward, John Utaka said the petition went too far.
“I don’t agree with people raising a petition against someone who’s a world champion,” Utaka said. “I understand fans are angry, but that shouldn’t warrant a petition. It doesn’t make sense.”
Critics argue Mbappé’s behavior has been unprofessional
Mbappe had courted controversy and the angst of fans after news leaked he left training following news he was not going to start the El Clasico last weekend.
Fans point to his withdrawal and to the timing of his social media post during the match.
Reacting to the Player’s behavior, Utaka told Brila.net that it was wrong.
“He’s not being professional. If it were me, I would have kept a low profile. If he faked an injury because he wasn’t starting, he shouldn’t have posted anything that would cause a ruckus online.”

The situation has put pressure on Real Madrid’s board to address the issue.
On Tuesday, Real Madrid President Florentino Perez held a press conference where he debunked several issues including a breakdown of order and professionalism in the Men’s senior team.
Perez’s address did not provide details on what it’ll take to arrest the frequent feuds that have been reported lately, but he backed the players and team to bounce back.
