Former Super Eagles assistant coach Fanny Amun has paid glowing tributes to late Nigerian football icons Adegboye Onigbinde and Henry Nwosu, describing their deaths as a painful loss.
Amun expressed deep sadness over the passing of both men, noting that their immense contributions to the growth of football in Nigeria will always be remembered.
Speaking on the death of Nwosu, Amun described the former midfielder as an exceptional footballer whose personality and elegance on the pitch made him stand out during his playing days.
“The death of Henry Nwosu is very painful. He was a great player youthful, elegant, calm and very jovial. His qualities were numerous and difficult to fully describe,” Amun said.

He also offered prayers for the late footballer, asking for divine mercy upon his soul.
“I pray that God will forgive him all his sins, whether knowingly or unknowingly. I hope God places him in His mercy and grants his family the strength to bear the loss,” he added.
