Rinsola Babajide Saves Roma a Point to Hold Parma in 3-3 Thriller

Super Falcons winger, Rinsola Babajide delivered a dramatic late intervention to rescue a vital point for AS Roma Women, scoring deep into stoppage time as the Giallorosse fought back to secure a thrilling 3–3 draw against Parma Women on Matchday 12 of the Serie A Femminile season.

Roma, who arrived at the Ennio Tardini Stadium as league leaders, were  pushed to the brink by Parma.

The Italian side was stretched to their limits by a fearless Parma side in a pulsating contest that swung wildly from end to end and produced six goals.

The hosts struck first through Kerlly Real, stunning the visitors early on and setting the tone for a fiercely contested encounter.

Roma responded with composure as Manuela Giugliano converted from the penalty spot to restore parity, but Parma refused to wilt.

Danielle Cox fired the hosts back in front before half-time to hand Roma a 2–1 deficit at the break.

Parma’s momentum continued after the restart, with Veronica Benedetti extending their advantage in the 54th minute, pushing Roma to the brink of a rare league defeat.

Red Card and Roma Fightback

The tide began to turn when Parma defender, Hawa Cissoko was sent off after receiving two yellow cards in quick succession, giving Roma a crucial numerical advantage.

Giugliano once again kept her nerve from the spot, converting a second penalty to reduce the deficit and set up a dramatic finale.

However, Roma appeared to be running out of time, despite sustained pressure until Babajide stepped into the spotlight.

Rinsola Babajide’s 90+9′ Moment of Magic

Introduced from the bench, Babajide made an instant impact. The Nigerian international was on the pitch for just 31 minutes, but she made them count in unforgettable fashion.

In the ninth minute of added time (90+9), Babajide rose highest in the box to power home a decisive header, completing Roma’s comeback and silencing the home crowd.

The goal was Babajide’s third in Roma colours and her first league goal since her Serie A debut, when she scored in a 4–0 win against Parma in October 2025.

Oladipo Also Features as Roma Stay Top

Fellow Super Falcons defender Shukurat Oladipo also featured prominently in the contest, starting in defence and playing her part in a match that tested Roma’s defensive resilience as much as their attacking quality.

While head coach, Alessandro Spugna may reflect on lapses that allowed Parma back into the game, the fight shown to battle until the final whistle will be a major positive.
