Fuludu Praises ‘Good Host’ Morocco and Super Eagles’ Performance at AFCON 2025

Former Nigeria international Edema Fuludu has praised the progress of the Africa Cup of Nations, highlighting the improvements under CAF president Patrice Motsepe.

He commended the increased prize money, better organization, and the expansion of competitions across the continent.

Fuludu also lauded Morocco for its world-class infrastructure, noting that quality facilities boosted team performance and are vital for the development of football.

“AFCON has increased its prize money, CAF has increased its prize money under Patrice Motsepe, more competitions are coming, the 2025 AFCON was well organized, kudos to Morocco for their structure.

“I mean, everyone saw it on visuals and people who went there actually saw it and they said yes, these are top-class facilities. It has improved the performance of the team. It has shown that apart from player capacity, facilities can do a lot in the development of the game.

“Nigeria, we went there with a lot of rules; there were able to be beaten even though a lot of us were very skeptical. I think the coach Eric Chelle has done so well and deserves to be praised.”

Morocco invested approximately €2.3 billion (around $2.4 billion or MAD 24.8 billion) in infrastructure for the AFCON 2025 tournament and utilized nine stadiums across six cities.
