Nigeria’s Chioma Olise was on target once again as Trabzonspor earned a gritty 2–1 victory over Hakkarigücü in a tightly contested Turkish Women’s Super Lig fixture on Sunday.
Olise, now in her second season with Trabzonspor after joining from NWFL Premiership champions Edo Queens, has continued to impress with her attacking contributions and consistency in midfield.
Chioma Olise Fires Trabzonspor Ahead
The former Royal Queens and Edo Queens midfielder opened the scoring in the 26th minute, handing the visitors an early advantage after a bright start.
Olise’s composed finish set the tone for Trabzonspor, who looked sharp and purposeful in the opening half.
Donjeta Halilaj doubled the lead in the 37th minute, capping a dominant spell for Trabzonspor and sending them into the break firmly in control.
The hosts improved significantly in the second half and pulled one back in the 72nd minute through Elif Kecsin.
Hakkarigücü were unable to find the equaliser as Trabzonspor held on for a valuable away win, despite mounting pressure late in the game.

League Standings After Matchday Nine
The victory strengthens Trabzonspor’s push for a top-three finish. They currently sit fourth on the table with 21 points, just one point behind third-placed Fomget GSK.
At the top of the standings, giants Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe remain tied on 27 points each, setting up an intense title race.
