Yoruba film star, Baba Ijesha regains freedom after spending over three years behind bars.
His release was confirmed by Yomi Fabiyi in an Instagram post on November 14, 2025.

It would be recalled that Baba Ijesha was sentenced to 16 years in prison in 2022.
Details Of The Post
In his Instagram post, Yomi Fabiyi disclosed that the Appeal Court cleared Baba Ijesha of the charge of defiling a minor.
Notably, during Baba Ijesha’s trial, Yomi Fabiyi played a significant role and shared updates about the proceedings on Instagram.
In a lengthy Instagram post, Yomi Fabiyi described the case a ‘charade’ and claimed that there was no evidence the girl was 14 at the time of the incident.
Furthermore, he accused Princess of grooming the minor and installing surveillance cameras, which he described as child pornography.
Additionally, he claims another associate, Damola Adekola, was arrested but released despite allegedly having a sexual relationship with the girl.
The accusation of rape against Baba Ijesha stemmed from a 14‑year‑old girl who was in his care.
The teenager’s foster mother, comedienne known as Princess went public with the allegations and released evidence, the case proceeded to trial.
Notably, in 2022, Baba Ijesha was sentenced to 16 years in prison for indecent treatment and sexual assault.
However, the appeal later upheld those convictions, while dismissing the defilement charge.
