Osimhen Lauds Super Eagles Mentality After Extra-Time Brace

Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen hailed his side’s resilience after scoring twice in extra time to secure a dramatic victory over Gabon.

The win propelled Nigeria into Sunday’s World Cup playoffs final against the DR Congo.

Osimhen insists that the team’s unity and hunger would drive them toward qualifying for the global showpiece.

Speaking post-match, Osimhen reflected on the squad’s lockdown mentality amid recent challenges.

“All the players were locked in, whether we trained or not,” he said. “We have a group where we motivate each other, even during club games. Everyone congratulates one another.

“There are things to rectify, but kudos to the NFF president — he sorted it swiftly.”

Osimhen Acknowledges Teammates

“I’m a professional; I’ve played against intimidating teams and missed chances. As a striker, sometimes you score the unbelievable and miss the easy ones.
