According to reports from Mundo Deportivo’s Fernando Polo, Messi arrived in Barcelona unexpectedly and entered the renovated Camp Nou just before midnight, taking time to relive old memories and see firsthand the progress of the stadium’s reconstruction.
No one from FC Barcelona, not even the club offices, was aware of his visit until Messi himself posted about it on social media, causing a wave of confusion and fascination.
His quiet entry into one of the most secure and symbolic sports venues in the world remains a mystery, with two contrasting accounts emerging about how it happened.

Messi’s entourage insists the visit was entirely spontaneous as they claim the World Cup winner decided on the spot to stop by the Camp Nou while traveling toward Alicante.
According to them, Messi did not inform or seek authorization from anyone at the club, not even to alert security and simply entered the stadium quietly to walk through the field he once called home.
However, Barcelona’s version differs. The club maintains that Messi’s visit was coordinated through “Limak”, the Turkish construction company overseeing the stadium’s renovation.
According to sources within the club, Lionel Messi requested entry through Limak’s security team, who then contacted Barça officials.
Given his legendary status, permission was immediately granted, as in their words,
