Oshoala Scores as Super Falcons Stars Shine Across Europe

Super Falcons star girl and Six-time African Player of the Year, Asisat Oshoala was on target once again, but her goal was not enough to save Al Hilal from their first league defeat of the season as they fell 3–1 to Al Nassr in the Saudi Women’s Premier League, last Thursday.

Fresh from international duty with the Super Falcons, Oshoala wasted no time making an impact, giving Al Hilal the lead in the ninth minute at Al Awwal Park.

The Nigerian striker finished off a neat exchange with Portuguese forward Jéssica Silva, netting her fifth goal in five league games, to go with two assists.

However, Al Nassr struck back before halftime through Ruth Kipoyi of Congo, before Tanzanian forward Clara Luvanga turned the game around with a brace in the 60th and stoppage-time minutes to seal a famous comeback win in Riyadh.

The result saw Al Hilal drop to second, three points behind leaders Al Nassr, with a chance to respond when they host Al Ula on Saturday, November 15.
