All Set! Nigeria vs Gabon World Cup Playoff Match Stadium, Kick-off Confirmed

CAF has confirmed that the 2026 FIFA World Cup playoffs will take place in Rabat, Morocco, from November 13 to 16.

Nigeria, Gabon, Cameroon, and the Democratic Republic of Congo will compete for one spot in the Intercontinental Playoffs scheduled for March 2026.

The semi-final fixtures will both be played on November 13.

Nigeria will face Gabon at 16:00 GMT, followed by Cameroon against DR Congo at 19:00 GMT.

The winners will meet in the final on November 16 at the Prince Moulay El Hassan Stadium in Rabat. Next, the winner will represent Africa in the Intercontinental Playoffs.

All four teams earned their places in the playoffs by finishing as the best runners up in their respective World Cup qualifying groups.

DR Congo secured second place in Group B with 22 points, two behind Senegal. Cameroon finished second in Group D with 19 points, three behind Cape Verde.

Gabon impressed throughout their campaign, collecting 25 points from a possible 30, just one point short of African champions Ivory Coast.

Nigeria completed their qualification in dramatic fashion, scoring four goals on the final matchday.

With only one qualification spot available, the playoffs promise to be highly competitive.

However, the matches will also serve as valuable preparation for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, as all four teams qualified for the tournament.

The games in Rabat will offer each side an opportunity to build momentum, cohesion, and team spirit ahead of continental and global show piece.
