
Nigeria’s Super Falcons are stepping up preparations for their 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifier against Benin Republic.
The team continued their preparations in Lome, Togo on Tuesday, October 21. They are currently based at the Hotel Sarakawa, with eleven players now in camp.
The Super Falcons opened their training camp for the first leg fixture on Monday. The initial training session included nine players, such as Asisat Oshoala, Folashade Ijamilusi, Taiwo Afolabi, and Miracle Usani. Other attendees were Joy Omewa, Anderline Mgbechi, Blessing Illivieda, and Kafayat Mafisere.
Later, Chiamaka Nnadozie and Christy Ucheibe joined the squad.
The Benin Republic will host the first leg at the Stade de Kegue in Lome this Friday. The reverse fixture is slated for the Moshood Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta next Tuesday.
