Nigeria’s Edna Imade net twice to help Real Sociedad secure a 2–2 draw against her former club, Granada, in a Liga F clash on Saturday.
The hosts, Granada, took the lead in the 35th minute when Chilean striker Sonya Keefe calmly converted from the penalty spot after a handball inside the area.
However, Real Sociedad responded swiftly, and it was Imade who restored parity seven minutes later.
The 23-year-old forward latched onto a clever through ball from Intza Eguiguren, slotting past the goalkeeper to make it 1–1 before halftime.
Edna Imade Scores Late in the Second Half
The 22-year-old Nigerian forward struck again in the 87th minute, this time finishing off Andreia Jacinta’s assist, appearing to have sealed all three points for the visitors.
But in the final moments, Maria Barquero rescued a point for Granada with a dramatic late equaliser, ensuring both teams shared the spoils.
Imade’s Impact and League Standing
Edna Imade, who played the entire 90 minutes, has now scored four Liga F goals this season for Real Sociedad, where she is currently on loan from Bayern Munich.
The result keeps Real Sociedad in third place on the Liga F table with 14 points from seven matches.
Real Sociedad will next face Eibar in their upcoming league clash on October 19, 2025, as Imade looks to extend her scoring streak.
