Ademola Lookman started a match for the first time this season in Atalanta’s 2-1 Champions League win over Club Brugge.
The Italian side had to fight hard for the victory after going a goal down in the first half.
Christos Tzolis opened the scoring for Brugge in the 38th minute, giving the visitors the lead.
Atalanta responded in the second half, with Lazar Samardzic drawing level from the penalty spot in the 74th minute.
Mario Pasalic then completed the comeback, scoring the winner in the 87th minute to seal all three points.
Lookman, still working his way back to full fitness, was taken off after the hour mark.

He showed glimpses of his quality but wasn’t at his explosive best.
During his time on the pitch, he completed 14 passes, attempted two shots (none on target), and made one successful dribble. He also delivered one accurate cross out of six attempts.

Despite his limited impact going forward, the Nigerian forward contributed defensively. He made three interceptions, one block, and won two ground duels, showing his effort off the ball.
So far, Lookman has only played 61 minutes this season, and it’s clear he is still building match sharpness.
With Nigeria’s World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin Republic this month, coach Eric Chelle will be hoping to see Lookman regain top form in time for the crucial fixtures.
