Simba Queens have completed the signing of highly rated Nigerian midfielder, Amarachi Odoma from Edo Queens, ahead of the upcoming Tanzanian Women’s Premier League season.
The deal sees the 21-year-old creative midfielder join one of East Africa’s most ambitious women’s football clubs, as Simba Queens aim to strengthen their squad for both domestic dominance and continental success.
Key Figure in Edo Queens’ Historic Season
Odoma was a central figure in Edo Queens’ remarkable 2023/24 campaign, during which the Benin City club;
- won their first-ever NWFL Premiership title,
- triumphed in the WAFU-B Champions League qualifiers, and
- finished fourth at the CAF Women’s Champions League.
Her performances were consistent, including her composure, vision, and ability to control games from midfield.
Odoma’s club form also earned her a senior national team debut with the Super Falcons, rising as one of the continent’s brightest young talents.
