Super Eagles B striker, Anas Yusuf has revealed that he was always confident of making the final 23-man squad for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), which kicked off on Saturday.
“I believed in my hard work and performance. I was confident I would make the final list,” he said.
Yusuf, who featured during the qualifiers, described the main tournament as a completely different experience, emphasizing the growth of unity among the players since coming into camp.
“At first, we were like rivals, but now, wearing the green-white-green, we’ve become a family. The love among us is strong, and I believe that will help us achieve something special in this tournament.”
The Nasarawa United striker also shared his ambition for the competition.
“My dream is to win the championship for Nigeria. I just want to lift the trophy with my country.”
The Super Eagles B are gearing up for a strong run at the CHAN tournament, as they begin their campaign against Senegal on Tuesday.
