Ademola Lookman has finally spoken out amid ongoing uncertainty about his future at Atalanta.
The Nigerian forward shared an emotional message reflecting on his time at the club, while also shedding light on a situation that appears far from settled.
“Over the past three years at Atalanta, I’ve given absolutely everything. Not just as a footballer, but as a person. I’ve always worn the shirt with pride and tried to represent this club and the city of Bergamo with heart, passion and dedication.”
He recalled winning the UEFA Europa League as one of his proudest moments, but expressed frustration over Atalanta’s decision to block a move he believed had been previously agreed upon if a fair offer was made.
“After many months of broken promises and poor treatment, I feel I have no choice but to speak out,” Lookman said.
“I hope the club will work with me to find an amicable solution.”
The 26-year-old went further to apologize to the fans for the way the situation has unfolded.
“To the supporters, the heartbeat of this club, I’m truly sorry it’s come to this,” he added.
Lookman, who was pivotal in Atalanta’s Europa League triumph, now hopes an agreement can be reached to secure his next move.
