Ndidi Plays in Leicester City Preseason Win Despite Transfer Links

Wilfred Ndidi travelled with the Leicester City squad for their preseason tour in Hungary, despite being linked with a move away from the club.

Ndidi came off the bench at the start of the second half during the tie against Hungarian top division side Zalaegerszegi TE.

He had a very good 45 minutes as he put up a commendable display in the middle of the park.

The Nigerian has admirers from Manchester United, Fulham, Everton, Al Ahly, and Bundesliga clubs. He has a £9m release clause following the club’s relegation last season.

Leicester won by a lone goal, thanks to Jordan Ayew’s 70th-minute strike.

Meanwhile, Abdul Fatawu made his first appearance for the Foxes since he tore his ACL while on international duty with Ghana in November of last year.

Leicester City will kick off their 2025/2026 season in the EFL Championship on the 10th of August against Sheffield Wednesday.
