Inter Milan submits bid for Super Eagles star

Inter Milan are known for doing their transfer business swiftly and getting the best out of any deal.

Their approach to these deals has helped them retain their place as one of the best footballing teams in the world.

After the disastrous end to last season, they were in the market for a player who can operate on the flanks.

Their criteria for this position is someone who can change the game individually and also play as a team player.

Ademola Lookman ticks all the boxes, and the player has agreed personal terms with the club.

The Nerazzurri followed up their agreement with Lookman by bidding for the player.

Inter has dropped a €40m bid for Lookman, but Atalanta is holding out for more.

Lookman is keen on joining Inter, as he loves the idea of moving to the San Siro. Inter are determined not to go higher for Lookman.

Former Inter Milan centre-forward Christian Vieri has pleaded with his former club to sign Lookman, describing him as an experienced player who can singlehandedly change the fate of a game:

“Lookman has the experience, it’s a different story: he’s someone who makes the difference, he changes matches. Someone like Lookman should always be signed, if possible.”

Meanwhile, Atlético Madrid remains interested in Lookman, but they will need to sell a forward to bring him in due to LaLiga rules. The Spanish side is currently monitoring the situation.

Rodrigo De Paul is likely to open up the space that will enable Atlético go for Lookman, as he is close to joining MLS side Inter Miami.

Ademola Lookman scored 20 goals and provided six assists in all competitions last season for Atalanta.

This propelled him into being named in the Serie A Team of the Season. He is the current CAF African Player of the Year.
