Ahmed Musa Clears air on Position at Kano Pillars, Dismisses Car Largesse to Players

Ahmed Musa has firmly denied widespread rumours claiming he distributed cars to players and officials following his recent appointment as General Manager of Kano Pillars FC.

Taking to his official X (formerly Twitter) account, the former Super Eagles captain described the reports as false and misleading.

“It has come to my attention that false information is being circulated claiming that I distributed cars to players and officials following my appointment as General Manager of Kano Pillars Football Club. This claim is entirely untrue.”

Musa appealed to the public and media to verify information from credible sources before sharing.

“Spreading unverified news not only misleads the public but also undermines the integrity of the club and its leadership,” he added.

The 2013 AFCON winner reiterated his commitment to restoring Kano Pillars to prominence, stating that the club’s focus remains on building a strong, disciplined, and successful team.

He has also confirmed he will keep his contract as a player, and be available on the pitch with the team despite his administrative role.

Musa, 32, returned to Pillars for a third stint last season after parting ways with Turkish Super Lig side Sivasspor.
