Billie Eilish was caught on camera dancing outrageously to the Kendrick Lamar diss track “Not Like Us,” which he has dedicated to fellow rapper Drake.

Fans of both artists have gone wild on the social media video clip where Eilish is lost in song, enjoying the scathing lyrics which Kendrick Lamar has dedicated to Drake in the song. There has been much excitement among fans and music lovers, with everyone praising Eilish for her taste in music and for supporting Kendrick Lamar.

This reaction by Eilish to “Not Like Us” comes at the wake of a diss campaign that Lamar has been waging against Drake. In his most recent diss tracks, Kendrick Lamar has gone to town on Drake, taking jibes at the latter’s credibility and authenticity in the rap game. Even the song title “6:16 in LA” has a reference to Drake’s city of origin, and “Euphoria” is said to be named in response to Drake’s own song “Jungle.”

The question has also been raised as to what Eilish might think about the diss campaign between the two rappers personally. Some fans have also begun speculating that Eilish’s support for Lamar could mean a potential collaboration between the two.

This moment by Billie Eilish has turned out to be a viral one in social media, with many speaking of it as a reflection of the immense reach and power that hip-hop exudes. It also shows the immense power of social media in its ability to magnify and share such cultural moments with ease so that fans across the world are able to engage and react to the latest happenings in the rap world.

Finally, this moment caught on tape by Billie Eilish added an extra kick of surprise to the already-gripping saga that has been the Kendrick Lamar-Drake feud. As another chapter in this developing battle for lyrical supremacy comes, fans sit in wait, with raw talent and creativity stoked in the world of music because of both.

Kendrick Lamar And Drake Feud Evolution

The beef between Kendrick Lamar and Drake has been in the making for years, with the two rap superstars exchanging bars and subliminal disses. But things came to a head this past March when Kendrick Lamar went directly at Drake in his verse on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That.”

In “Like That,” Kendrick disparaged the idea of a “Big Three” in rap, which included himself, Drake, and J. Cole, rapping, “Motherfuck the Big Three, nigga, it’s just big me.” He also used it as an opportunity to say, “Prince outlived Mike Jack,” to Drake, obviously comparing himself to Prince and Drake to Michael Jackson. This was taken as a direct declaration of war, and the beef has been scorching ever since.

In reply, Drake released two diss tracks in April 2024, “Push Ups” and “Taylor Made Freestyle.” In “Push Ups,” Drake listed several rappers he considered better than Kendrick, saying: “You ain’t in no Big Three, SZA got you wiped down, Travis got you wiped down, Savage got you wiped down.” Drake also referenced the “Big Three” theme, reciting: “I’m at the top of the mountain, so you tight now/ Just to have this talk with yo’ ass, I had to hike down/ Big difference between Mike then and Mike now.”

In Taylor Made Freestyle, Drake taunted Kendrick for not responding to his previous diss track and joked he did not want to interfere with the release of Taylor Swift’s new album, “The Tortured Poets Department.” The song featured AI-generated voices of Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg, both of whom are Kendrick’s heroes, but it was later taken down because Tupac’s estate filed a cease and desist.

Kendrick lashed back at Drake’s diss tracks by releasing “Euphoria” on April 30, 2024, a six-minute long diss track. In “Euphoria” Kendrick called out Drake for getting plastic surgery and knocked his rapping ability, as well as calling him an absent father. The track has been described as one of the most biting diss tracks in rap history, and many claim it has altered the course of hip-hop beefs.

The Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef has been a testament to rap beef and the rivalry between the two rappers and their fans. The role of the low blows that were swung by the two in their diss tracks and in other circumstances probable carries a level of responsibility for modifying the future legacies of both artists. But for now we still don’t know yet if their beef has gone halfway or even fully external. Given the persistent adversity that Drake has taken into his music and the way he’s became better at hitmaking, we also wouldn’t be too quick to assume their feud is close to being over.
