Bryan Boyer, who was adopted from Haiti in April 2023, was brought to the United States by Saintizaire. On May 2, staff at Orlando Health Medical Center notified the Polk County Sheriff’s Office about the suspicious circumstances surrounding Bryan’s death. An autopsy conducted by the District 9 Medical Examiner’s Office revealed that Bryan had suffered from an abdominal bleed that could not be treated through emergency surgery. The autopsy concluded that the injuries were consistent with ongoing abuse, leading to the determination that Bryan’s cause of death was from assault and blunt force trauma, with the manner of death ruled a homicide.

Detectives investigating the case learned that Bryan was initially taken to Heart of Florida Hospital in Davenport due to his significant injuries but was later transferred to a hospital in Orlando. Saintizaire reportedly denied using physical discipline as a form of punishment, a claim contradicted by her husband, who stated that she was responsible for disciplining the children.
Further complicating the situation, Bryan’s older brother initially denied witnessing any abuse. One video allegedly shows Saintizaire throwing Bryan into a pool with his arms tied behind his back.
