Nigeria continue their preparations for the 2024 African Nations Championship with a pre-tournament friendly fixture lined up in Zanzibar.
The Super Eagles B team arrived in Zanzibar last Thursday from Lagos to step up their pre-tournament training.
Speaking in an interview, Nduka commended the warm reception his team received from the Zanzibaris.
“It was a very great welcome, an amazing welcome from the people of Zanzibar. I must confess they are very good people. As for our preparation, we are still working because we still have a week before the tournament begins.”
On the team’s upcoming friendly match, the Remo Stars defender stressed the importance of the test game against Zanzibar.
“This game is one of those we use to assess our strengths and weaknesses. We’re playing Zanzibar tomorrow, but no one is really talking about them yet because we don’t have much information on them. That’s the current mood in camp.”
A test match between Nigeria and the Zanzibar national team, which held at the Mao Zedong Stadium, on Monday, ended goalless
It was the first of two games lines up for Eric Chelle’s side before the August 5 group opener against Senegal.
