Ademola Lookman’s match fitness continues to improve as he completed 73 minutes for Atalanta in their 1-1 draw against Como in Serie A.
Lookman put in a solid display, completing 15 of 18 passes (83 percent accuracy), creating two chances, completing three successful dribbles, and delivering one accurate cross.
He also showed great physicality by winning five ground duels and one aerial duel a clear sign of progress in his match sharpness.
This marks Lookman’s second consecutive start for Atalanta.
In his previous outing, he featured for 61 minutes against Club Brugge in the UEFA Champions League.
While that performance showed signs of rust, the more recent appearance reflected a significant step forward in his fitness level.
His improving fitness is positive news for both Nigerian fans and head coach Eric Chelle, with the final round of FIFA World Cup qualifiers approaching.
