Assessing Performance Match by Match
Gusau shared that tournament football demands patience and constant evaluation, explaining that the Super Eagles’ performances are being closely monitored from one match to the next.
“And by the grace of God, in this kind of tournament, you always try to look at the performance of the boys, match in, match out.”
According to him, the technical crew and football administrators have observed notable progress compared to the team’s previous outing.
“Now we have seen a lot of progress from the last match.”
Despite the positive results, the NFF boss admitted that the team is not without flaws, pointing out that minor issues remain but are already being addressed internally.
“And I know there’s some little hiccups that we have in this game. The coaches are aware of it as well as the players.”
Gusau is also confident that those areas would be improved upon as the Super Eagles prepare for their final group game.
“We hope to see a better game against Uganda.”
