WAFU B U-20 Cup: Nigeria Soars Past Benin with 4-1 Victory

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles bounced back in style from their opening draw against Ghana with an emphatic 4 1 win over Benin Republic in their second group game of the 2025 WAFU Zone B U 20 Boys Cup, held in Accra on Sunday.

The first half ended in a 1-1 stalemate, but Nigeria’s dominant second half performance secured all three points.

Muhammed Abdullahi and AbdulJelil Kamaldeen played pivotal roles in the victory, contributing to three of the Flying Eagles’ four goals.

The standout performer of the match was Odinaka Emmanuel, who earned the well deserved Man of the Match accolade for his exceptional defensive display and influential presence throughout the game.

The defending champions are now just one game away from confirming a spot in the WAFU B Championship semifinals.
