Super Eagles star emerges as target for Premier League sides

Leeds United have been active in the transfer market as they prepare for life in the Premier League.

The club has completed the signing of seven players this summer and have spent €85 million, which is a relatively huge fee for a newly promoted club.

Chairman Paraag Marathe is satisfied with the job done by head of recruitment Alex Davies and head of football administration Hannah Cox in this transfer window, but the feeling within the club is that they need more reinforcements in the wide areas.

Nigeria international, Nathan Tella has emerged as the club’s concrete target.

According to TBR Football, Leeds scouts were sent to watch Tella play against Chelsea in Bayer Leverkusen’s 2-0 loss to the world champions.

The scouts were said to be impressed, and there is no objection from Daniel Farke, as he admires the player.

Acquiring Tella might prove to be difficult for Leeds, as other clubs are also interested in signing the player. The 26-year-old has attracted interest from Nottingham Forest, Brentford, Brighton, and his former club Burnley.

The Premier League is a competition Tella knows well, as he made 33 appearances in the league with Southampton.
