Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali has expressed strong belief in Nigeria’s chances of winning the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, as the team looks to bounce back from the heartbreak of the previous edition.
“For us Nigerians, the AFCON is always a big one especially after the last edition where we came second,” Nwabali said in a recent interview.
“Right now, our focus is on the playoffs starting on the 13th. I feel the AFCON will be a good tournament for us, and I believe Nigeria can lift the trophy in Morocco.”

The shot-stopper acknowledged that while the Super Eagles current form has drawn some criticism, the players remain united and motivated to deliver.
