A Runaway Dog Evades Marshals: nothing is more enjoyable than a dog interfering with sports. The most recent example of this occurred at the men’s World Cup super-G competition in Bormio, where champion Marco Odermatt was eclipsed by a jubilant dog.
As the dog avoided marshals and then started trying to outrun Odermatt’s time at the top of the rankings, Ed Drake in the Eurosport commentary box was unable to control his hysterics.
Runaway Dog Evades Marshals World Cup Super-G
A dog that escaped its owner and raced down the slope at the super-G in Bormio pleased the competitors and spectators.
The happy hound avoided marshals to enter the course, then attempted to negotiate the corners as his four legs humorously skidded on the snow, causing the World Cup race to be stopped for more than five minutes.
Despite their best efforts, the race directors were unable to stop the dog from threatening Marco Odermatt’s lead time as he deftly down the mountain.
Ed Drake, who was commentating on the race for Eurosport, could hardly contain his amusement as he exclaimed, “He just managed to fly his way down the San Pietro, four-wheel grip not even able to keep the dog on course.”
He is running the entire San Pietro and the remaining distance down. The Bormio dog is the star of the show!
The punishing race quickly wore down our brave hero, who eventually discovered a gap in the fence and faded from view, confident that their brief brush with fame would not go unremembered.
He had ran out of fuel. We speak about athletes running out of legs, but this man has a few more legs and is still worn out, Drake continued.
